Once again the name
of an important city has been used to identify the latest design in
our catalogue.
Our choice of name
for this year's model was not hard to make, in fact we had three
distinct reasons:
Firstly, the whole
team at HSM love Paris! A cosmopolitan city full of art, culture and
music. Secondly, a great friend of ours and a significant contributor
to the history of jazz music, lives there. He owns and plays one of
the most wonderful mouthpieces we ever made, a London Black SE.
Finally, we adore the view from the Trocadero across to the |

Eiffel Tower; a symbol
of art at its best. Powerful yet simple in design, this transparent
piece of architecture projects its own sense of freedom.
These same
characteristics are found in our new Paris series. The
design is a work of art; powerful, simple and transparent, but ready
and waiting for you to freely express your art in the way only you
know how.
From a technical
point of view the London and Paris mouthpieces have many features in
common: a standard rollover baffle, a horseshoe shaped elliptical
entrance from the mouthpiece bore to the internal chamber, a triple
chamber approach and a parabolic end to the bore which ideally crosses
the U shaped window creating our famous 'mouthpiece eye'.
